communal clay @communal_clay
1/2 of Communal Clay. Communal Clay CIC is a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation which offers low cost and free workshops to the local community.
Our aim is making clay and sculpture more inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Our approach is sustainability conscious and has led us to digging and foraging our own clay and using plant, shell, bone and other organic matter to create ash glazes.
Organisations we have worked with include: South London Gallery Art Block, Sydenham Gardens, Glenghall Warf Garden, The Grove Community Garden and DIY,
Southwark Design District x London Design Festival, QUEERCIRCLE, The Park College, Northeastern University London, Royal Society of Sculptors,
the Copleston Centre, SET Woolwich, SET Social Peckham, SET Woolwich Community Canteen, Haymerle Primary School, Arts for dementia, Spitalfiels City Farm,
TACO, Tele Hill Arts Club / Just Older Youth, DO YOUR OWN THING / Heart N Soul at The Albany Theatre.
